On the surface, 2023-24 has been a quiet year for the Community Trust in terms of fundraising events.

In November we held our Annual Bonfire Night. We seemed to be more organized in general this year, food was plentiful and the bonfire and fireworks were magnificent

In February, the long awaited refurbishment of the toilets and vestibule began. It has taken a while, but we are now very close to finishing and I think you will agree that the trades, working under the expert supervision of Mike Elliott, have done us proud. I would like to thank them all for their hard work. Special thanks must go to Mike Elliott for overseeing and managing this project on top of his own work commitments.

The Hall continues to be used by local user groups, and we continue to host the Post Office every Tuesday afternoon. We have also hosted elections for the local council, and training days for the National Park Authority.

The outside areas and allotment is now looking so much better thanks to the efforts of the Volunteer Group. I would like to thank them on behalf of the Community Trust for all their efforts and hard work, and we look forward to their continued support.

And finally, I must thank all the committee members/trustees who give their time and talents freely to keep this Community Trust alive in Cartmel Fell.
