Cartmel Fell Parish Bonfire & Fireworks

Fireworks Display and Bonfire

As is tradition, we start at the Parish Hall at 6pm, when the children's lantern procession will take the home made Guy from the Hall down to the bonfire which is then lit. The fireworks display will then start. There'll be Mulled Wine, a Cash Bar with cold drinks. The Raffle will be drawn after the bonfire session.

Everyone is welcome to enter the Lantern competition - make a lantern in any medium and just turn up with your creation on the night before the procession starts, and add it to the display at the Hall.

Hotpot Supper option

Our delicious hotpot supper is served around 7pm and a selection of home made desserts will be available. If you would like the vegetarian option (cheese & onion pie), please let us know.

Parking and access

Parking is limited at the event, and there will be many pedestrians around. Please allow extra time for accessing the site and parking.

A one-way system will be in operation, with access only from the top of the site (Height road end) going downhill towards the hall. There will be no access from the bottom road.

Priority for parking at the Hall will be given by the stewards to those with accessibility needs. Please lift share if you can, and park a little further away. Wherever you park, please make sure the roads remain clear for emergency vehicles.
