FILM NIGHT - "Thriving"

In March 2025 the Cartmel Fell Volunteers ran a film night in the Parish Hall showing the film "Thriving" and hosted an interview with Clare Dyson, the filmmaker.

Thriving is the story of Clare Dyson’s 200 mile journey across Cumbria on her horse, Merry, in 2022. She set off from Cartmel Fell, travelling through our beautiful landscape and meeting farmers along the way.

Clare joined us after the film for home made refreshments and a discussion on what she learned in the making of the film and we had a lively discussion about the Regenerative Farming topic discussed in the film.

The Cartmel Fell Volunteers really enjoyed seeing so many of the community at the event and there was a lively discussion in the hall both during the event and over refreshments.
